PLACEHOLDER POST Pt 2: Photo Contest

Friends, Romans, Countrymen, listen up a minute. I am working to finish Köln, really (the cathedral walks and haunts my dreams), but in the meantime I have a little project to keep you all occupied.
this is not the project

IES, my study abroad service, is having a photo contest with a $200 (yes, real American dollars) first prize. The deadline for submission is August 6th, and the categories are as follows:

The Student Experience – Photos submitted should be of you and/or your IES Abroad classmates during your time abroad and should be taken in the city where you are studying or during IES Abroad field trips.

Landscapes & Landmarks – Photos submitted should be of the local sites in the city where you are studying or during IES Abroad field trips. For example, photos might be of landmarks, buildings, landscapes, or local residents and culture.

Your task, should you choose to accept it, is to pick out the image or images you think would be most likely to net me a big pile of prize money. I can submit up to three pictures. According to the "Guidelines," "winning IES Abroad Photo Contest pictures are usually of subjects relevant to the study abroad experience," i.e. they feature American college kids interacting with happy little ethnic-lookin' children or like standing in front of Big Ben or the Taj Mahal or whatever. Past winners--probably the best resource for figuring out which of my photos might have a chance--can be found on this here website.

I'll be back real soon-like. Happy hunting!

hey i figured it out i'll just submit this picture of a mustard volvo three times and wait by the mailbox for the checks to start rolling in
